101 A- circumcision- 700/= per circumcision
Masha Allah we have managed to do 2586 circumcisions...
The response from the email through Internet were not much , but the majority money was collected by a sms campaign carried out – One single donor paid for 1000 circumcisions.
We have still requests coming in and we also have more pledges coming in. We will try to do ALL needy cases in Srilanka insha Allah.
101 A: spectacles :
We have issued 98 free specs for needy people and also organized a free eye clinic at Badowita where the social service dept. will issue about 200 free specs. We also gave about 500 used specs to Dehiyanga.
101 B – Darul Muminath association –Weligama-
A Single Donor - Rs.100,000- .. Project completed..
102- Widows house needs roof-
Rs. 20,000/= project completed
103- Conversion through health camp
Rs. 55,000/= program in Puttalam-
one single donor financed this entire project. We managed ot do educational camps for about Rs.150,000
104- Medical books
Rs. 10,500/= was financed – single donor . Project completed.
104 B- roofing for Mabole houses
Cost 3,000/= per house
funds received for roofing sheets for 21 houses. project completed.
105- Help a girl to learn Islam
Rs. 4,000/= per month and buy books-
sponsorship received for 3 years and 7months.. by 7 donors, she is learning at our ummul mu'mineen.
106- 10 year old heart surgery-120,000/=
Only received Rs.3,000- Paid.
107- Well-Mabole- 300,000/=
Project completed.
107 B- 2 more wells- 227,000/=
Total cost received by 2 sponsors for these 2 wells at Nawalapitiya and
108- Electricity bill of Woman in iddah -28.267/30
Single sponsor paid the entire bill and gave her some extra money as well.
109- Help her pay the loan
Montessori -300,000/= D onor found and he lent the money directly to her.
110- Gampola school toilets- 100,000/=
Donor found – project in progress
112- Help revert couple to buy land- 125,000/=
Fully paid by one donor –project complete.
113- Muthur exhibition
No response
114- Ollikulam needs 80 wells –7,000/= per tube well
14 wells had already been built by the people of the area –We helped put up 66 wells – collection through sms appeals and a few internet responses . Project completed.
More donation than what was expected came in and we managed to do two more large wells too from this appeal.
MAY 2007
115- Medical student Russia- 15,000/= per month for 3 years
He has received funds for 6 months from one donor– starting march 2007.
Another donor has agreed to finance the rest of his stay in
117- Sponsor Teachers of Quran to orphans
Rs. 6,500/= per month
sponsors received for 15 months
118- Young Boy needs Kidney transplant
Rupees 35,000/= received and paid to patient. surgery completed.
119-Orphans to be sponsored –

the rent for the entire year of 300,000/= was paid by one donor with and addition of 1000 US$ and 115,000/= pledged by 2 other donors . Most furniture donated by well wishers. A couple has moved in as care takers and we are in the process of accommodating the needy women.
125- Re: Poor Muslim girl loves to study Islam
3 donors have pledged 31,500/= each and 2 others have also been awarded this scholarship of which one is a revert.

126 B - 6 year old twins need financial assistance for cochlear implant - 2.8 million -
no donors so far. We will pay Rs.5000 from zakath
127- Final year -4 medical students
Received funds from 3 donors:- sum of rupees 60,000/=

some brothers brought some much needed abayas for the needy. may Allah bless them.
129- 2 orphans {Both parents dead]
Donor - - Rs.20,000- [@ Rs.10,000- per child] - the girl was taken in to the ummul mu'mineen and she is a very bright happy child now
130- Poor destitute Mohammadiya Banu (130]
Donor has pledged to pay Rs.2 ,000- p.m. another organization is also supporting her partially.
131- Triplets need milk!
Some donors inquired and were willing to purchase the milk for them- they have not updated us whether this project is being carried out.
133 kidneys damaged of a 35 year old - have to undergo urgent surgery
no donors so far. We will pay Rs.5000 from zakath
134-Re: Windy rains destroy homes at kaluthara (134 )
US 100 pledged by single donor. donated roof sheets.
134 B - Revert needs help to buy 3 perch land- 60,000/-

Financing education is an ongoing project and so far 60 students have been sponsored through above appeals though we appealed for 100 students.

Many brothers called, visited and helped him. someone sent money to settle part of the loan. He is ok and out of the hospital.
