Almuslimaath update 4.4.2007
May Allah bless and reward all those who almost "raced to do good", as Allah says in the Quran. Some projects received upto 13 respondents though only one could take it. Some were even disappointed that they were already taken up by others. All goes to show how many people out there want to do good but only are waiting for the opportunity. And that a little concern over someone's problem can bring about miracles.
Only two appeals, sadly didn't have enough response. All Allah's will, He knows best.
1.Urgent - Heart surgery of a child
We requested Rs. 200,000 but the bill was altogether Rs. 490,000 and the money was collected, alhamdulillah. . The child was operated and went home happily. We had enough for travelling back as well as the post operative expenditure.
2. Darul Hiqma Ahadiya teachers got salary for about a year from various sources. They have paid the first month's salary
3.Nuwara eliya grand mosque needs a well
The Nuwara eliya mosque water project is under way. As many as 13 people opted to do this project, subahanallah! We are trying to give atleast one water project in any area for those who couldn't't get the opportunity to do this project, insha Allah.
4.Abayas for Women
Alhamdulillah, we got Rs. 24,000 for the abayas and we are getting them stitched by a girl in the same area at a cost of Rs. 800/= so that we can give for more people than planned earlier.
5.Appeal to your kindness to save a 3 year old girl
This girl was taken
6. The Panagamuwa mosque will be painted this month.
7.Panagamuwa teachers salary has been received for 18
months
8.The Doowathe well is financed and will start work soon insha
Allah.
9.Another well in the Mabole area too is being built by my
Arabic class students alhamdulillah.
10.The house of the girl with the bomb blast husband was built
and extra money given for her children
11. Noufer's house is being built at a cost of Rs. 60,000
12.Abdul Salam, the man with the loan on the cart got not only the loan
money repaid but also another Rs. 5000 to expand his cart business.
13. Help Muslim students to enter the university –
two students sponsored so far.
14. Puttalam new couple seeks a house: A donor opted to
visit them and build the house for them
15.woman without legs
The man needing prosthetic leg did not turn up in spite of being informed that we will get it done. Instead a similar patient, a lady with both legs amputated is getting her prosthetic leg done by the same donor.
16. The 27 year old, bedridden boy so far has got about Rs.
35,000 though he needs 100,000
17. Maharagama cancer hospital Rs. 10,000 received so far.
18.Mosque in thalawakelle it is planned to build a mosque at
thalawakelle and a donor has come forward. The plans are getting underway.
19. I want a stethoscope A stethoscope was bought and
presented to the needy medical student.
20.Request for drinking water projects at Bibile one well
was financed fully and the second one still money is being collected. Only Rs. 10,000 pledged so far for the other well.
21.Help a widow with three children : so far only Rs. 5000 has been received, whereas she needs Rs. 150,000 to put up a house. . Hoping someone will help her to survive on her own insha Allah. If anyone wants to, they can send money to our account and the details are given below.
22.Baby Firza needing Rs.280,000 for heart surgery
was helped and the surgery performed successfully – this money
was collected totally by SMS to known people only! Alhamdulillah, la hawla wa la quwwathe illa billah.
23,24,25 -Some projects were over subscribed.
We asked the donors to donate for the
following projects:
1.For a blind moulavi's wife to buy a sewing machine – Rs. 16,000
2. to complete the house of the revert girl whose parents are sick
3. A baby needing heart surgery was helped
26.Circumcision – Since the lankamuslims forum could not come up
with the financing of all of the 1000 children's circumcision as planned, we
asked individual donors to donate as well and have financed 630
circumcisions so far at the rate of Rs. 700 per child. AUMSA is
doing the circumcision for us. Still seeking donations to complete 1000.
Everyone of you, Please send atleast for one single
child's circumcision. The bank details are given.
We pray that Allah, Almighty, record these efforts as good
deeds done only for His pleasure, and that He makes it reach
and benefit those who need it most.
